Our COVID-19 Response

During these uncertain times, we have reopened for our community. Following the City of San Francisco, CDC and ADA guidelines, we’ve strengthened our infection control to protect our patients and dental team.

“Oral health is an important part of overall health,” according to ADA President Chad Gehani, D.D.S. “Resuming regular dental visits are important because treatment, as well as prevention of dental disease, helps keep people healthy. The guidances from the ADA and the CDC give dental professionals the information they need to practice as safely as possible.”

Ingleside Dental has built upon our strong infection control foundation, to help protect our patients and dental team. We have made several changes. If you have any questions, please email or call us.

  • We added new technology to increase evacuation of aerosols during cleaning.
  • We added HEPA air filtration in the patient rooms and reception.
  • We are contacting patients prior to their scheduled appointment to ask questions about their current health status.
  • Patients are required to wear a face covering when entering the dental practice.
  • The number of people are limited to who can accompany a patient to the appointment. The patient should make the visit alone. Guardians of minors or caretakers are allowed to accompany the patient.
  • Patient’s temperatures will be checked upon entry.
  • We have remove items in office waiting rooms such as toys or reading material to limit potential transmission through high touch surfaces.
  • We have encouraged social distancing practices by minimizing the number of patients in the waiting room by spacing appointments. We may ask our patients to wait in their cars or outside until we are ready to see the patient. We ask patients to text or call us upon arrival.
  • Our team members wear additional personal protective equipment (PPE) as appropriate, such as surgical masks or N95 masks, full face shields or goggles with side shields to ensure an environment that is as safe and healthy as possible for patients and the dental team.
  • We will ask patients to use the hand sanitizer upon entry and exit of the office.
  • We regularly clean surfaces and door handles. We clean pens and clipboards after one use.

We will continue to regularly consult our state dental board and state or local health departments for current information and requirements.

We value your patronage and trust. We aim to be one of the best dentists in San Francisco. If you would like to make an appointment or have a question, please feel free to email or call us.
